 If you are unfamiliar with the streets in Panama and new to driving in the country, you may want consider purchasing a nifty little GPS unit fully equipped with local maps. Recent improvements in maps show useful details such as one-way streets, ATM machines, hospitals, police stations, shopping malls, hotels, points of interest and department stores. You can use a GPS unit to find alternate routes around traffic jams, or to get through unfamiliar neighborhoods. A GPS unit works by receiving satellite tracking information every few seconds.

There are 2 Price Smarts in Panama City and 1 in David. I just need to pick the location I want to go to and the unit calculates a route for me. If I take a wrong turn, it simply recalculates a different route and puts me back on track to my location. It`s just gives you a great sense of security to always know where you are and in what direction you are heading.These units come fully equipped with Panama maps. You simply have to plug it into your car and use. If you already own a Garmin unit you just need to purchase a map.”
