Spaghetti alla Carbonara PDF Print E-mail

For the opening season episode of  “ The Sopranos” party we brought the following

Spaghetti alla Carbonara
( for 4) easily doubled

 

 


- 1 lb fried bacon in small strips
- Small bag of frozen peas
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbs. Butter
- 1Tbs chopped garlic
- Handfull of parsley chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Tsp of salt
- 2 Tbs of ground pepper
- ¼ cup of parmesan cheese
- 1 sleeve of a thin spaghetti

 

Fry bacon and remove all but 1 tsp of bacon fat in a frying pan. Add defrosted peas, beaten eggs, butter,garlic,heavy cream and salt.
Drain spaghetti and add to the above mixture and sprinkle on cheese and parsley


Serve with Italian Bread Salad

One large loaf of bread
4 large vine ripened tomatoes
Tbs of fresh garlic
3 Tbs. Of chopped basil
Add dressing of red wine vinegar and olive oil ( 1c oil-¼ c vin)
