This morning at 8:42am a 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit Costa Rica. The Quake occured 80km south of the town Liberia. Due to the magnitude of the earthquake tsunami warnings were initially issued in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama.  These warnings have since been called off.

Don Winner of Panama-Guide states that the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued an update as of 12:02 pm local time, cancelling the Tsunami warning for the Pacific coast of Panama.
